SSA & BASA Membership Insurance: Simple Guide

Summary of cover

As a BASA or SSA member, you are insured under a group (“Master”) policy arranged through Sportscover Europe Ltd and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.

The insurance is designed to protect you against claims arising from your recreational shooting activities.

Cover limit

What is protected

You are covered for legal liability if your shooting activities accidentally cause injury to another person, damage to someone else’s property, or accidental nuisance claims.

The policy also helps with associated legal costs.

Membership period

Your cover starts when you join BASA or SSA, or when you renew your membership, and lasts until the policy expiry date.

The policy only applies within the United Kingdom.

There is a £350 excess for every claim made.
